YCCG-1 2019

November 15-18th, 2019, the 1st Youth Conference on Crystal Growth (YCCG-1 2019) was held in Tongli, Suzhou. The conference is co-organized by Suzhou Institute of Nano-Tech and Nano-Bionics (SINANO), CAS; Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, CAS; Suzhou Third Generation Semiconductor Industry Innovation Center; China Building Material Test & Certification Group Co., Ltd., etc.

Shining Zhu, Academician of CAS and Professor from Nanjing University; Yicheng Wu, Academician of CAS and Professor from Tianjin University of Technology; Deren Yang, Yongjun Tian, Academician of CAS and Professor from Yanshan University were invited to attend the conference. More than 650 experts and scholars from various universities, scientific research institutions and enterprises also participated in the meeting. 90% of attendees are young and middle-aged scholars and graduate students. Academician Shining Zhu, Academician Yongjun Tian, Academician Deren Yang, Professor Jiyang Wang, Professor Bo Shen, Professor Xutang Tao, Professor Wanqi Jie, Professor Shilie Pan, Professor Jun Xu, Professor Haohai Yu gave invited lectures. Jianfeng Wang,Professor from SINANO, CAS, presided over the opening ceremony of the conference. Academician Zhu Shining delivered the opening speech for the conference. Academician Yicheng Wu, Professor Jiyang Wang, Professor Haohai Yu and Professor Dabing Li chaired the invited reports, respectively.

In addition to the invited reports in plenary sessions, 11 parallel sessions of the conference were  established, including A, Crystal Growth Principle and Numerical Simulation; B, Laser Crystals; C, Non-Linear Optical Crystals; D, Scintillation Crystals; E, Semiconductor Crystals; F, Wide Band Gap Semiconductor Crystals and Devices; G, Piezoelectric, Electro-optic, Acousto-Optic, Magneto-Optic Crystals and Other Functional Crystals; H, Artificial Microstructures and Low-Dimensional Crystals; I, New Technology of Crystal Growth in Special Physical Environment; J, Transparent Ceramics; K, Processing, Application, Industrialization and Equipment Technology of Crystal Materials. The young editorial board members of Journal of Synthetic Crystals served as the chairman of each parallel session. Well-known young and middle-aged experts also made invited lectures in each session.
